For at least two weeks in late May or early June every year, Fabio Cimicchi knows he won’t be sleeping much. It’s been that way since 1995, his first year volunteering with the association that organizes the Festa del Corpus Domini — the best-known of Orvieto’s historical pageants and one of the most colorful celebrations of the Eucharist in the larger Catholic world.
