Winter squash in an agrodolce (sweet and sour) sauce topped with aromatic mint and cinnamon is a classic Sicilian side dish with an unusual name: fegato dei sette cannoli (or Settecannoli).  The literal translation is “liver of the seven cannoli,” but here, the winter squash serves as mock liver.
